Rik van Boeckel @ FREE FRINGE FESTIVAL AMSTERDAM 2013

Rik van Boeckel is a Dutch poet, musician and performer who recites, sings, raps his poetry (mainly in Dutch, sometimes in English and Spanish) while he accompanies himself on different percussion instruments like djembé, congas, cajón and framedrums. He is also part of the Amsterdam based group who did the program Lorca & Lorca (with Argentinian actor Carlos Trafic, Irish actress Grainne Delaney and Uruguyan actor/singer/poet Juan Tajes) and trio Bel Cante with whom he performs Spanish songs, collected by Lorca, and Sephardic songs. He made several shows for children and is also a renowned djembé and percussion teacher- and writer about music. His songs are available on Itunes and Spotify.
